Navigating your way along highway 101 from the East at Westlake Village to West in Santa Barbara can be a challenge. Common bottlenecks begin at the Conejo Grade and worse in Camarillo through Ventura, where highways have not been expanded. Fridays are especially bad, beginning at 3:30 p.m. traveling North to Santa Barbara.
